Volleyball

Although, women for a while seemed to pretty much monopolize the volleyball sport, that is strictly past, done with and over. Men have quietly stepped up to the net and made themselves known.

For example, most major colleges have a men’s volleyball team. In the summer of 2008, our male and female players will head to Beijing to compete in the Olympics. Navy and WestPoint are actively involved in tournaments starting the early part of February 2008. The NCAA National Collegiate volleyball will be in Irvine, California the first of May and the list goes on…

Spectators love the sport and like baseball or football have their favorite teams and team players. Volleyball is getting more news media support now and the sport is growing fast and furious.

Men are becoming very prominent in this sport and attracting the attention of the younger generation – children are starting to play volleyball seriously in junior high and continuing up to and through college. Young men and young women can often times get a volleyball scholarship (sometimes a full one) for their college years.

Don’t take my word for it – it’s not a sissy game as some use to claim. Try it; you’ll love the sport. It’s keeps you mentally and physically in great shape and you’ll find that the first few times you play, you’ll discover body parts you didn’t even know you had…

In a few months, you’ll be amazed at the difference in your physical appearance and you’ll have stamina to spare. The heart and body will love you for giving them a chance to do a little work now and than. You’ll learn to handle daily stress and tension, because your mind and body are getting healthy.

Volleyball is a great sport for families, neighborhood events and really gets children off their fanny out of the house and energized. Volleyball is a little bit of baseball, handball and basketball all wrapped up in one sport.
